CHAPTER 3

         Itznot learned how to measure.

“County’s piece of cake is bigger than mine. It’s not fair!”

“That cookie is bigger than mine! It’s not fair!”

“Why do I get a bigger piece of liver? It’s not fair!”

Momma and Papa talked. “Maybe we should divide all food the same. It would be equal. It would be fair. We don’t want our children to think we’re not fair,” he said. “After all, that’s our name!”

So, Momma Wegottabe Fair bought a scale. She measured each portion of food, so the food on each plate was the same. “They are equal. It is fair,” she said.

“I’m still hungry,” complained County, “and my food was cold!”

“Why do I have to eat so many peas?” cried Bus.

Itznot grinned, but only ate half his food before he was full.

Exact cried. She wanted milk, not peas or liver.
